Our Appointment Policies
Appointment, Walk-ins, and Clinic Policies
Dr. Chiro Clinic always strives to provide the highest quality care for you and your family and to maintain same day access for patients in great pain or discomfort. We are also listening to your concerns about the length of time you want to see the doctor. While there is no easy way to see patients the day that they are feeling unwell and maintaining a strict scheduling policy, we are committed to improving your experience in our office. We have presented these policies to improve our ability to see you as close to your appointment time as possible. To successfully do this, we need your help with the following policies:
1) Unscheduled Walk-In Policy: We are asking that patients no longer walk-in without an appointment. Unscheduled walk-ins lead to increased wait times for scheduled patients. If you arrive without an appointment, we will schedule you for the next available appointment time. Please note: Scheduling you for the next available time may require us to ask you to return later the same day or the next available working day. To avoid having to return later, please call our office or WhatsApp us to make an appointment prior to coming in.
2) Booked Walk-In Policy: A Booked Walk-In, also known as Same-day Called-in appointment, are given a time of 30 minutes to check-in. The waiting time from the time of check-in is expected to be around 30-60 minutes. Please note that you will not be called in the order that you arrive at our clinic. Priority to be seen is given to scheduled patients during their fixed appointment time, the elderly in wheelchairs, and/or special needs person. If you check-in after the 30 minutes period, it will be considered as a walk-in without an appointment (Please refer to Unscheduled Walk-In Policy Above).
3) Late or Early Arrivals: We ask that you arrive for your appointment on time. Late and early arrivals increase wait times for other patients. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for a well-being Chiropractic Adjustment, your appointment will automatically be cancelled, and you may be seen as an unscheduled Walk-In. (Please refer to Unscheduled Walk-In Policy Above). If you arrive more than 15 minutes early for your appointment, you may wait in our waiting area. However, you will be asked to check back in with the front office staff closer to your appointment time.
4) Cancellation of Appointments: If you are unable to keep to your scheduled appointment, we ask that you call our office or WhatsApp our office to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. This allows our office to make better use of our available appointments and not deprive another patient in need of chiropractic care with the time slot. No-calls and no-shows may be chargeable in such circumstances. Thank you for your kind understanding.
5) Open Date Expiry: If you have not visited our clinic in the last 6 months, your open date will expire, and your next visit will have an additional fee of $20 as our doctor may need to perform additional examination and history taking. In the event an individual patient has not visited our clinic for more than 1 year, they will be considered as a brand-new patient (unless at the discretion of the doctor doesn’t require this) as their health history, status may have changed since then as we need additional time and consultation to be able to assist them.
6) Office Policies:
a) No handphone usage allowed beyond the waiting area including the consultation room and treatment area
b) No food and drinks are allowed in the consultation room and treatment area.
c) The doctor is not obligated to fill all forms brought to them or write memos. It is determined on a case-by-case basis. Filling up forms or writing memos, if granted will take up to 3 working days. Any detailed forms or report that are requested to be filled up by our doctor requires additional administrative charges depending on the complexity.
d) Due to all privacy and liability reasons, all new patients must register and be screened at the reception desk for any consultation with the doctor for any chiropractic session, consultation, or advice.
e) Please make payment after receiving your chiropractic session. We do not offer any form of credit terms with regards to this.
f) With regards to extended consultation and treatment, please note that not every visit with every individual is the same and as such, the fees have a range to justify additional regions adjustment, time and complexity of case.
g) Patient who are not courteous to the staff and other patients may be denied service or/and asked to leave. Any rude behavior would be tolerated and would be handed over to the authorities.
We thank you for your feedback and we hope you understand that these policies are intended to help us complete your visit in a timely manner. You and your family are an important part of our chiropractic clinic so calling to schedule your appointment and cooperating with the policies above will help us continual to improve on high tenets of service and care for everyone.
Two things in the source worth flagging, since they look like typos rather than intent:
- Policy 6(g): “Any rude behavior would be tolerated” — almost certainly meant to be “would not be tolerated,” given the sentence it sits in.
- Closing paragraph: “help us continual to improve” — should be “continue.”
