Dr Nicholas Lim Rui-Xin

Dr. Nicholas Lim, Dr. Of Chiropractic, USA* (*Not a Medical or Dental Qualification), Chiropractor Singapore, Doctor of Chiropractor (D.C.), is the Clinic Director of Dr. Chiro Pte. Ltd., committed and passionate to serve his clients and the people of Singapore with his unique vitalistic chiropractic care, experience and skills. Dr. Lim currently sits on the Executive Committee of The Chiropractic Association of Singapore as the Honorary Secretary 2022/2023, after being re-elected from the term 2021/2022. He was also the Honorary Treasurer of the committee from the term 2020/2021.

Nicholas graduated from Palmer College, the fountainhead of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, USA, founded in 1895. To deepen his knowledge and skills, he achieved certifications in USA’s Mally Method of Upper and Lower Extremities Adjusting; Zone Chiropractic Technique; Gonstead, Activator, Blair, Logan Basic, Sacro-Occipital Techniques, Knee Chest and Atlas Orthogonal Techniques, amongst others.

In addition, Nicholas has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Newcastle Castle Upon Tyne, UK, Specialist Diploma in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Singapore Polytechnic, Diploma in Food Science from Nanyang Polytechnic and many International Certifications in Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient holistic energy harmonising and healing technique. With his breadth and depth of knowledge of the human body, its functions, vulnerabilities, and the value of nutrition for optimising health, he is able to tailor treatments to best serve the health needs of clients via a holistic and integrated approach.

As a young teenager growing up in a large extended family with elderly grandparents, Nicholas developed a passion in health and nutrition, to understand the linkages, causes and effects of one’s emotional, mental and physical health. This influenced his decision to become a Chiropractor so that he could help others alleviate or eliminate aches, pain, stress and traumas that inflict them and restore equilibrium emotional-mental-physical health and happiness.

Nicholas studied with many world-renowned chiropractic visionaries of modern times and continues to do so. Besides his education at Palmer, he attended many seminars and workshops throughout his professional study, to master his skills in chiropractic adjustments and treatments. He had the opportunity to learn from many world-famous experts like Drs. Peter Goldman, Arno Burnier, Wade Port, James Deegan, Jeremy Brook, Donald Epstein, John Martinez, Tim Young, Mitch Mally, Aaron Morris, Patrick McMahon, Shawn Dill, Herb Wood, Jeff Lawlor, Alex Ginzburg, Daniel Bai, and many more, in and out of the chiropractic profession. Through them, he mastered invaluable and unique chiropractic skills and techniques.

During his time at Palmer, Nicholas founded the Mastery, Love and Service (MLS) Adjusting Seminar Club, and became a staff member of MLS. He participated in mission trips to heal underprivileged people in The Dominican Republic and Haiti. He was also the former technique Chairman of Pi Kappa Chi Professional Fraternity and received the Uncommon Scholarship; Class Representative and Member of the International Chiropractic Association; and  Member of the International Federation of Chiropractic Organisations. He is a Finalist of the Virgil Strang Philosophy Award of his graduating cohort. He served as an Intern and Teaching Assistant at Palmer College and Intern at Discover Chiropractic, Moline Illinois, USA.

Nicholas is a Member of the Chiropractic Association of Singapore (Professional Register)*, Member of the International Chiropractor’s Association, Member of the Pi Kappa Chi Professional Chiropractic Fraternity; Member of the UK Association for Nutrition; and Member of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association.

As the chiropractic profession is still a self-regulating profession here, it maintains the only professional register of qualified chiropractors.
